Ascendio Audio Sessions Now Available for Pre-Order

HPEF wants you to continue to benefit from the captivating presentations from Ascendio 2012. That’s why we’re offering audio session recordings online and through CD ROM from this year’s event! Don’t let you conference experience end when the event does this year. After the conference, you can listen to your favorite presentations again and share them with others! Not attending Ascendio 2012? Here’s your chance to access the presentations you’re going to miss.

Visit the HPEF Live Learning Center now to purchase your session recordings and speaker handouts before prices increase! Special price of $99 for online access and $119 for CD ROMs is only available pre-conference.

And don’t forget – you can still order recordings from Azkatraz, Portus and Prophecy – and as a special for libraries, researchers and schools, after Ascendio, we’ll have a set of all recorded sessions from these four events for $555, available via MP3 download from the HPEF Live Learning Center.

Sponsor a Programming Session or House Meetup

At past HPEF events, individuals, websites, groups, ships, friends, teams and others have sponsored programming sessions, and we are pleased to introduce a reprise of our Programming Sponsorship Program for Ascendio; the deadline to be included in the Program is June 21, and the deadline to have signage at your sponsored session or Meet Up is July 8. You can sponsor a session even if you’re not going to be able to make it to Ascendio – and if you do, we’ll send you a copy of the official Ascendio program!

Each of Ascendio’s presentations, panels, round tables, debates and discussions is available for sponsorship, at a rate of $100 per session. Formal programming session sponsors will be thanked with a sign in the room during the session, a mention at the start of the session which will be included on the formal programming session recording and, if the sponsorship is paid before June 21, 2012, we will also be able to include an acknowledgment in the program.

This year, Hogwarts House and Pottermore House Meetups can also be sponsored! Meetup session sponsors will be thanked with a sign or table tent in the room during the session and Ascendio will arrange for snacks for the meetup’s attendees.

Ready to sponsor something awesome? Click here for the Google Checkout page! If you need to pay via PayPal, please email us at pr@hp2012.org and we’ll coordinate that directly with you.

Ascendio Authorpalooza

If you’re a fan of YA, the Ascendio Authorpalooza is for you! Everyone is invited to enjoy readings and signings by fantastic authors and peruse our Book Fair and Vendor Rooms!

Authorpalooza will take place from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.  on Thursday, July 12th, as a pre-con event. Whether you’ve just settled into your hotel room and want some activities before Night of a Thousand Wizards 2, or want to attend a reading/signing between Wrock sets, or want to browse books after picking up your Registration pack, Authorpalooza is a great opportunity to interact with Ascendio authors, and get a preview of The Quill Track.

PLUS if you plan on pitching your novel to one of Ascendio’s literary agents, Authorpalooza is where you’ll get first dibs on the sign-up form!

We have a preliminary schedule of reading/signings. In addition to the readings/signings going on in Davinci and Michaelangelo, we’ll have several tables outside Registration where you can browse books by fellow attendees, as well as meet representatives from companies such as Omnific Publishing and Wattpad, who can help you take your writing to the next level!
